Leato Group (Pty) Ltd. (‘Leato Group”) is a proudly South African Black Woman Owned (BWO) Level 1- contributor company. Our main objective is to harness and build a strong, professional and formidable black women owned company that provides products and services to industrial, commercial and domestic clients with special focus on the energy and healthcare sectors.
To the Energy sector – Leato Energy is a provider of energy and energy related services and solutions to domestic, commercial and industrial sectors with a primary focus on the gas industry.
Domestic clients – we provide gas products and install gas reticulation systems for power requirements.
Commercial and Industrial clients – we provide power solutions utilizing Fuel Cell Technology.
Where appropriate, we structure and build business alliances with strategic partners in order to participate and add value in Black Economic Empowerment initiatives that arise from time to time. To this end, Leato Energy is looking to participate in the recently launched government Gas to Power IPP. We will add value by being operationally involved within a specified area of the IPP value chain. We also aim to contribute to targeted elements of the IPP by forming strategic partnerships and building meaningful networks with major players in the industry.
To the Healthcare sector – Leato Consulting specializes in the provision of business and operational performance excellence services; assisting our clients overcome barriers of stand-alone business applications. We work with our clients to establish their needs and create a unified and structured workplace that supports performance excellence and improved compliance levels to regulatory and legislative requirements. By offering comprehensive and integrated business performance solutions we also help our clients improve employee morale, increase job satisfaction, reduce waste, increase quality control, lower loss time leading to increased productivity and maximized profitability. Isolated management systems are replaced with interconnected applications.
We do this by utilizing the skill set, professional competence and knowledge base derived from years of experience in the Healthcare industry.
About the founder
Lerato Mosiah is a pharmacist registered with the South African Pharmacy Council since 1995. She is an accomplished business executive with a wealth of experience gained from working in the pharmaceutical and medical gas industries. Prior to founding Leato Group, a Black Women Owned company, Lerato headed up the Healthcare business unit at Afrox for 7 years. Thereafter she took up a global role as Head of Quality and Regulatory Affairs for the African region. She has previously held various positions in the areas of new business development, strategic and stakeholder management, quality assurance and regulatory affairs management, business analysis and process improvement.
Lerato served as a Trustee on the Afrox Medical Aid Scheme Board. She is a member of the Institute of Directors of South Africa, the Women in Energy SA, the SA Quality Institute, and the Business Women’s Association of South Africa (BWASA). Lerato is Chairperson of the Social and Ethics Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Board of PSV Holdings.
She holds the 2010 SA Boss of the Year Leadership Award and is a 2012 University of Pretoria, TuksAlumni Laureate, an Excellence Award that recognises exceptional achievement and promotion of the interests of the University. Lerato holds a Diploma in Science Education (UNIWEST), a B.Sc. (Hon) in General Physiology (Wits), Bachelor of Pharmacy (Wits), and an MBA (GIBS). She attended an executive global leadership development programme at Oxford University’s School of Business (Säid School of Business), specialising in Strategy implementation, Finance and Leadership.
